Install the Roundsman client
You can install the Roundsman client on your machine by following the steps below. Before you start, make sure you are logged in to the machine using the account that is used to access the server, as this ensures you have the correct domain access permissions.
⚠️ Important: You need Administrator rights to complete this installation. If you are not comfortable completing these steps yourself, we recommend asking your IT team to carry out the installation on your behalf.
Go to the Roundsman SQL Server RoundsmanClient shared folder on your network.
Copy the Client Installer folder to the C drive of the machine you are installing the client on.
Open a Command Prompt as Administrator.
Run the following command to navigate to the Client Installer folder, replacing the path with the location you copied the folder to:
cd "path"Run the following command to start the installation:
clientinstall.batWhen the Roundsman Install dialogue opens, select Everyone, then click Next to complete the installation.
Check the Command Prompt window for any errors and resolve these before continuing.
Start Roundsman as Administrator; the client will update automatically.
Test that Roundsman is working by searching for a customer. Confirm you can see Active Rounds and that a report renders on screen.
📌 Note: If you encounter errors that you cannot resolve, Roundsman can be uninstalled in the same way as any other Windows program. Raise a support case if the issue persists after reinstalling.
Common Errors:
If Roundsman does not open correctly after installation, the registry keys may not have been created correctly. You'll see the following error if this is the case:
⚠️ Important: The steps below require familiarity with the Windows Registry Editor (regedit). We recommend your IT team carries out these steps.
Open regedit as Administrator.
Go to
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Access UK.Right-click the Access UK key and select Permissions.
Click Add and enter the PC user or Domain Users group.
Grant Full Control to the user or group, then click OK.
Repeat for all subkeys under Access UK.
Start Roundsman; it should now open correctly as a normal user.
📌 Note: If you are unable to resolve the registry key issue, raise a support case. Include your Roundsman version and a screenshot of any error messages you see.
